The curry powder adds a wonderful aroma and flavor to hairtail fish. It also helps to eliminates some of fishy smell while adding a pleasant presentation. This dish makes a great banchan anytime….
1 package frozen salted hairtail fish,defrosted
2-3 tablespoons flour
1-2 tablespoons curry powder
Most Korean markets carry pre-cut salted hairtail fish in the frozen section.
Rinse and pat dry with paper towel.
In a large tray, combine flour and curry powder or shake in a zipper-lock plastic bag until combined.
Toss the fish in the curry and flour mixture to coat.
For better curry flavor, score the fish before you add to the flour mixture.( Score first one way, then the other to create diamond-shaped cuts.)
Heat oil in a pan, fry the fish until golden brown.
Remove and drain well on paper towel.
Garnish with radish sprouts.
Serve with rice.
