Fern is a Y-member and a good friend of mine at work.. she’s a wonderful cook and baker. It’s kind of odd but when she works out, we talks about cooking, baking and sharing recipes and so forth… One time, Fern mentioned about Ina Garten’s Parker beef stew while she was walking on a treadmill…she told me how she prepared and tasted this stew. When I saw this recipe from a cookbook from the library, I had to give it a try. I loved the idea of adding sweet potatoes to chili….
